I'm feeling much better I guess... Still dun really know how to face her? Haha... The combination of everything... That cold sore... That fever... Horror of not even understanding the advance engine maths... Everything... just served to make it more difficult for me? Haiz...

I really do want to continue this friendship... But it's just this... I still dunno really how to face her! Argh! Wassup with me... I think I screwed up her good intentions big time now... I'm not mad at her actually... just really fustrated with myself...

Why that topic of you thinking about someone else didn't seem to come up again? I mean, who would want to hear about the person you like/love thinking about someone else... It's just too hard even for me... Really... Ok I did tell you my share... but those were in the past tense context... So yeah... =X

& I felt like an idiot for not understanding you still... not meaning I hate you! I think we both got that wrong on that aspect... It's not you I'm angry at really... It's me. =)

Meanwhile... I'll try to get back to normal... Anything else... let's just put it off till the future comes a'knockin... Then we'll see what happens...

Ok here to bring a small guide on wines & how to enjoy them properly

Chardonnay (say shar-dhon-nay):
1) Light, semi-dry, citrusy
2) Goes well with Hokkien prawn mee, cereal prawns
3) Main grape in the tipple Chablis, Chardonnay is also one of the 3 grapes used to make champagne, the other two being Pinot Noir & Pinot Neuniere

Chenin Blanc (say shu-nahn blonk)
1) Crisp, dry, melony (if French), grapefruit-like (if South African)
2) Goes well with Thai food, grilled mackerel stuffed with sambal belacan (but go easy on the chilli)
3) If this wine is too young, it can sometimes taste of vomit (good lord...)

Riesling (ree-zling)
1) Sweet, honey, musk
2) Goes well with sweet & sour fish, chicken rice (with not too much chilli sauce)
3) If the Riesling comes from Aslac in France, its bouquet may be redolent of melons. If it's from Germany, it may smell more like grapefruit.

Sauvignon Blanc (so-vee-nee-ohn blonk)
1) Medium-bodied, grassy, hints of tropical fruit such as guava
2) Goes well with chicken rice (without chilli sauce), barbecued chicken wings, Teochew cold crab
3) New Zealand's Sauvignon Blanc wines are particularly delectable, with the bouquet of exotic fruit such as custard apple

Semillon (sair-mee-yohn)
1) Rich, tangy, grassy
2) Goes well with Nonya laksa (without chilli paste), claypot chicken & Chinese sausage rice, cockles with lime-chilli dip
3) It is used to make Sauternes, a classic French dessert wine

Gewurztraminer (gare-vertz-trah-mee-ner)
1) Sweet-spicy, lychees, roses
2) Goes well with Chicken buah keluak, nasi lemak
3) A very ripe & rich style known as Vendage Tardives from Alsace in France exudes heady tropical aromas such as pomelo & goes well with coconut laced glutinous rice & jackfruit

Cabernet Sauvignon (care-bare-nat so-vee-nee-nohn)
1) Supple, blackcurranty, minty
2) Goes well with Roast duck, lor ark (stewed duck), lamb stewed with Chinese herbs

Merlot (mare-low)
1) Mellow, plummy, orangey
2) Goes well with Ngau Lam (Cantonese-style stewed beef), char kway teow & beef hor fun

Pinot Noir (pee-noh nu-wah)
1) Elegant-light, red berries, leather
2) Goes well with most red meat except game, although it may work well with quail. Vegetarians may also note that it goes well with grilled porcini mushrooms

Syrah or Shiraz (sir-rah or sher-rahz)
1) Very robust, peppery, plummy
2) Goes well with Fish head curry & most Indian curries
3) Not to be confused with Petit Sirah of California, which is another red grape varietal altogether & is less assertive than Syrah or Shiraz.

2007 New Year Resolutions!

1) Train even harder so as to impart more stuff to everyone who wants to learn
2) Be nice & less sarcastic, better-tempered. Also be more patient, especially to IDIOTIC DRIVERS (face it... I don't drive often, but I drive more safely than most people. Muahaha)
3) Really start saving money (for whatever lah... you damn buggers only know marriage ah...)
4) Clean up my room. (Can't bring a girl home to a pigsty can I? Haha =x)
5) Take care of my body
6) Study & work hard
7) Be more positive, smile more (MY BRACES ARE COMING OFF! WOOHOO!), lose some weight (Damn... competitions gotta maintain ley... siao liao...)
8) STOP PROCRASTINATING

2007 New Year Wishes!

1) Strike Lottery/ CPF increase/ NO GST or FARE HIKES! (I should ask the ministers to take public transport for 4 years until the next elections then see what they say... Damn)

I guess I'm free now to address & air some of my views & thoughts on some matters... This is going to be long... Haha anyways...

Taekwondo - I guess this 2007 I really want to shut up le & only scold when REALLY BLOODY necessary. But I still will bitch abt it in my blog... Haha so if you find it weird why I don't say anything else... Look here. Haha Like I said so many times...

Training is only twice per week, unless it's competition time. 1 training lasts an average of 2 hours... so in 1 week 4 hours of training isn't gonna get anyone anywhere as near as they hoped... Everyone wants to get stronger... So to me 4 hours definitely isn't enough... In 1 training, most of the time is spent with me sharing knowledge (useful / useless up to you to decide), or me scolding everyone... Well... if everyone will devote that 2 hours to train real hard & perservere even with injuries (not talking abt life threatening ones...), I believe everyone will sure benefit, learn & improve tremendously.

Why are some clubs so strong? I told everyone le... They take training damn seriously... & that's on top of their own studies... Which to me are like more packed than poly... So it's like 11+ then they will reach home also... But they still go on & on & train even with some injuries... Jokes are bound to come out, but I see that they understand that everyone can talk & joke later. You all are YOUNG ADULTS, so pls... I assure you that by doing just this you will see improvements gradually. It's a progressive thing. BUT you must learn to take it more seriously!

Pain is part & parcel of Taekwondo, much so for LIFE as well... So... we should be friends with it. Pain tells us that maybe we are not using the proper technique, not doing it well/properly, or that their peer's methods are inaccurate. For me, I try not to shun pain. Instead I just try to understand why I encounter pain. Learn from it!

On winning... Let's just put it this way... If you train hard enough & properly, I can say if you take part in competitions you will be assured of your chance to win. Even if you do not win, don't despair! Some winners are winners because they were once losers. To me, only a loser will learn from their mistakes & perservere on to win. Winners have not much to fall back on to reflect. So yeah. Your chance will come, provided you want that & you do the right things. Don't just be so critical about how this system is ineffective etc etc just because you lost. Humans err. Everyone isn't perfect.

As a black belt, I think I'm more concerned with passing on my knowledge to everyone else. Perhaps because I originated as a white belt from NP, I felt that all the more it's my moral obligation to share what I know with the members. Kinda like a pure blood. Haha I'm bossy, arrogant to the point of being irritating. But it's happening because everyone just doesn't seem to wake up their ideas. Taekwondo isn't just a sport. It's also a martial art. The way things are now is because NPTKD is also a school club. So there are 2 sets of rules governing the club. No performance = No budget = No anything! We are also following STF's & SSC's directives & vision to promote it as a sport. Simple as that! So think in our shoes (as comm members, pres/vp, instructor) why I'm so bloody annoying than your mother. =)

Nowadays I just go around training cuz I must also move with times le. So I must learn more to share more with others. I'm still fanatical with improving NPTKD. I'm also fanatical with improving anyone who wants to learn TKD. So yeah. Power to me is nothing. NP doesn't pay me. So yeah. There you go. I only assert my right as a 2nd Dan black belt if I see anyone who tries to be funny. I still learn from everyone. But I only learn what's practical. I don't see anyone on the streets doing a 540 back hook to defend himself, or in competitions. I only see it on Youtube videos. & I also see them in hospitals with ligament problems, lamenting on how normal training has done things to their bodies when it's themselves who brought such misfortune upon themselves. =D

There... there are a lot more on my mind... But this is gonna be bloody long...

Drinking fruit n begetable juices regularly may help to delay the onset of Alzheimer's Disease... In my opinion, no matter how much some idiots drink, they are still that bloody self. ANYWAY...

Some "food for thought":

Cranberries - Rich in Vitamins C & K, dietary fibre & maganese, these bright red berries may help prevent & treat urinary tract infections. Cranberries may also fight gum disease & stomach ulcers, & prevent the formulation of kidney stones. They may also help lower bad cholesterol & raise good cholesterol levels.

Watermelon - This is an excellent source of Vitamin A & C. Compared with several fruit, watermelon has a high water content & a low calorie count. It also contains carotenoids such as lycopene & beta-lycopene, which may offer antioxidant & cancer-protective effects.

Papaya - Excellent source of Vitamins C & E, and beta-carotene - three powerful antioxidants that boast anti-inflammatory properties. Papayas also contain a digestive enzyme that may be used to treat sports injuries & allergies.

Woohoo... Song ah... Wed went back SIM to train... Ok... my slamming kick technique improved le... Good Good... Finally Alfian know who I am le... ZZZ Thurs...

NP Training... Ok I've said what I wanted to say for so long le... I'm like SICK & TIRED of telling them what to do le...

Friday... NTU Training again. Ok less tired... But woohoo I still can kick. Not bad not bad. Congrats to Marissa for earning that compliment! BUT don't get complacent girl... Work harder ah.

Sat... Bloody hell... I wish all the potential BBs will fail. Or at least those who kicked my groin. Ask & warn you all le... Still wan to kick there? Don't mind if I payback man... Don't even wonder why I'm smiling while delivering you to kingdom come.

Sun... Tiring day at grading again... Argh. Leg still hurts. & Not too bad this time... Improvements there. Good Good. I see people are starting to wake up le. Gotta wait for the results to be confirmed though...
